This is a record of grinder settings and what came out of them. It exists because I kept rediscovering the same adjustments every few months and could never remember which direction I had moved last.

Everything here is measured on one machine with one set of burrs, so the numbers are useless to anyone else as absolute values. What might transfer is the direction of the effect, and how large it was relative to everything else I changed that week.

I weigh what goes in and what comes out, and time it. Beyond that there is no instrumentation. No particle analysis, no refractometer. Several of the conclusions below would probably not survive one.
